Job Description Summary Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a new challenge ?BD is currently recruiting a Senior Finance Manager, Industrial Controlling based in Pont-de-Claix. You will act as the primary financial business partner and a member of the Plant Leadership Team. In addition to analyzing & interpreting financial performance, this position will directly over-see the creation, validation, analysis, and communication of financial and operational data relating to cost improvements, CB-2 preparation, and the capital processes.You will work closely with the Operations Finance central teams on processes and analysis related to annual plant budgeting, quarterly forecasting, month-end closings. You will also be responsible for supporting the annual strategic review (ASR) for the site as well as serving as the financial expert on cross-functional project and Operations teams. Oversees internal controls related to material inventory including physicals and/or cycle counting activities. - Provide financial analysis & interpretation to the Operations team to aid in decision making including, but not limited to overall financial performance, continuous improvement project analysis, capital and CB-2 development and analysis, new product cost development, strategic sourcing analysis and other ad-hoc analysis.
- Partner with the central team to develop and ensure that standard costs are accurate and meet the cost improvement objectives set by Operations.
- Support the Finance Operations development of annual strategic plans, annual budget package, and quarterly forecasts for the manufacturing site including validating production volumes and analyzing leverage, ensuring that productivity factors are in-line with expectations, working with Operations and Strategic Sourcing to minimize material inflation, conducting reviews to ensure staffing and overhead spending are appropriate.
- Manage the plant finance team – define their objectives, evaluate their performance, support their skills development.
- Supervise the development of capital expenditures and analyze capital spending by project. Drive capital budgeting, forecasting, and reporting requirements.
- Assist with the analysis of inventory levels and days inventory on-hand (DIO) to ensure they meet ISC/Operations targets.
- Responsible for ensuring the site meets compliance to GAAP, SOX, legal/statutory & BD internal finance policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial performance reporting prepared by the plant finance team.
- Review annual physical inventory and/or cycle-count program to ensure accuracy.
- Work with Operations Finance to drive further standardization and process efficiency.
Preferred profile:
- A bachelors diploma in Accounting/Finance is required, with a preference for an MBA/ CPA/ CMA.
- Operations Finance, Costing & Analysis background.
- Proven experience of minimum 5 years with increasing responsibility in a manufacturing environment supporting a plant.
- Strong Financial systems and tools knowledge and utilization skills (SAP, BPC).
- Dedicated, proactive, and strives for continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrix, challenging environment with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to improve controls and influence decisions through accounting knowledge and data driven financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel as demonstrated by previous experience creating and manipulating complex spreadsheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc) required.
