Job Description:National Oilwell Varco Subsea Production Systems (NOV SPS) designs and manufactures flexible pipes and innovative products for the offshore oil and gas industry. We leverage superior engineering and state-of-the-art manufacturing technology to establish long-term partnerships with global contractors and oil companies.About Our Engineering & Technology Area and Testing DepartmentOur flexible pipes are designed to endure up to 30 years in harsh offshore environments. As the final phase of product development, full-scale tests are conducted to qualify our products and validate our methodologies. These tests take place at our state-of-the-art test facilities in Brøndby and Kalundborg, equipped with unique, world-class test equipment. You will be joining a team of 9 Test Engineers, based in both Kalundborg and Brøndby.As a Lead Engineer in a Testing Team, you will balance in-depth leadership with technical tasks, coordination, and documentation. Collaborating with the Engineering & Technology teams and the New Product Development team, you will guide your team in defining test methodologies and procedures. You will oversee the unique full-scale tests that are exclusively conducted by NOV in Denmark.Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety by conducting risk analyses.
- Ensure quality by complying with relevant international standards and customer requirements, and by defining and following ITPs and procedures.
- Manage the testing schedule.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders.
- Analyze and maintain testing costs.
- Oversee equipment calibration within your team.
- Supervise the preparation, execution, daily follow-up, data analysis, and reporting of tests.
- Coordinate work based on available resources.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by implementing new testing methodologies and enhancing existing ones.
Who are you?
- Engineer (general, mechanical, or marine) or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in the Energy (preferably Oil & Gas) industry with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Proven experience with leading a team (at least 2 years)
- Good knowledge of instrumentation, calibration, and data analysis.
- Basic understanding of high-pressure systems with gas and liquid.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in documenting specifications, procedures, and reports.
- Good understanding of strength theory and solid mechanics, with the ability to interpret the behavior of flexible pipe structures based on measurements.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, as it is our corporate language.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Results-driven, persistent, and structured in your approach to tasks.
