- You will work actively on the preparation and defence of a PhD grant application in the domain of design, upscaling and optimization of environmentally friendly and economically viable photo-electrochemical technologies
- You will assist in ongoing research projects on the design, optimization and upscaling of photo(electro)chemical technologies within the NANOlight consortium.
- You will publish scientific articles related to the research project.
- You are willing to assist in educational tasks.
Profile
- You hold a Master degree in engineering science, chemical engineering, applied engineering or equivalent through experience; or you will have obtained it by the time you start to work.

- You can speak and write fluently in English.
- You have relevant experience with reactor design and photo(electro)chemistry.
- You show interest in industrial chemical processes and process safety and experience with both is considered as a plus.
- You show interest in sustainable development and the transition to a more sustainable society.
- You show interest in cleantech and environmental technology.
- Experience or affinity with techno-economic assessment, life cycle assessment or quantitative sustainability assessments is considered a plus.
What we offer
- We offer a doctoral scholarship for a period of 1 year. We will evaluate the extension of the agreement at the end of that year.
