Valuing our people is what makes us one global team, with our colleagues’ safety at the heart of our organization.How to contribute to our visionFor our Power Plant Control team within the Power Plant Solutions business unit, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated SW Test Engineer to assure we continue to deliver a high-quality product by management of test activities in close cooperation with our 2 test colleagues and the development teams.The Power Plant Control department is an integral part of the Siemens Gamesa Technology organization that forms the core of our technological leadership. We want to be the best in the business, and we are looking for a SW Test engineer, who can be an important test team member for taking us to the next level.The Power Plant Control department consists of approximately 25 devoted engineers/testers/software developers across Brande, Spain and India. We develop control systems for renewable power plants, integrating control of wind turbines, batteries for energy storage and solar installations. The Power Plant Control system act as the electrical interface between the renewable Power Plant and grid operator in order to insure a stable and balanced electrical grid.Major part of our SW-testing is based on an automated test platform and we want to expand this activity, and strengthen the test coordination between our departments in Brande, Madrid/Bilbao and Bangalore-India. Your responsibilities will cover:Conduct Black-/Whitebox tests specified in cooperation with SW-developers and SW-architects.Define & develop test scripts for our test automation platform.Assist in root cause analyses of SW support cases/defects.Create/Update test plans and contribute to/Manage test strategy.Participate in collaboration and knowledge sharing communities between our locations in Denmark, Spain and IndiaWhat you need to make a differencePassion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are looking for you, who wants to make real what matters and who wants to change the world to renewable energy.The ideal candidate holds an academic degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and preferably some courses or certifications in software testing like ISQTB in combination with thorough practical experience withDeveloping C# applications for automatic testing, time scripting or other relevant scripting languages.BDD, Cucumber, Ruby or similar test platforms/tools.Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) in an agile Scrum/SAFe environmentAwareness and understanding of cyber threats and security testing tools are an advantageMost importantly, you challenge yourself and your colleagues to achieve the best results. You have a high professional competency and you have a desire to develop your skills. You have good collaboration skills and you can manage to act in different cultural contexts.
