Job description

Taylor Hopkinson is recruiting a Senior Project Development Manager to lead the development of large-scale PV (photovoltaic), wind, and BESS projects from origination through to Ready-to-Build (RtB) status.Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate new project sites and development opportunities for PV, wind, and BESS installations across Italy, focusing on optimal locations for grid connection and resource potential.
• Manage the permitting process, ensuring all projects comply with local, regional, and national regulations. Liaise with regulatory bodies and municipalities to obtain the necessary approvals and environmental clearances.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, government agencies, local communities, and other key stakeholders to ensure project alignment and support.
• Collaborate with technical and financial teams to assess project viability, including grid connection analysis, resource assessment, and financial modeling to ensure profitability and risk management.
• Lead all aspects of project development through to RtB status, ensuring projects are ready for construction with all required permits, financing approvals, and stakeholder agreements in place.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications in renewable energy are preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project development within the renewable energy sector, with a proven track record in managing utility-scale projects.
• Deep understanding of Italian permitting processes, energy regulations, and market dynamics for renewable energy projects.
• Fluency in Italian and English is required.
