We’re bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.PROFILE SUMMARYThe designer shall have a strong knowledge of software Intergraph Smart Plant 3D (Smart 3D) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working on industrial plant projects within this tool in the areas of design of piping/supports. Experience on the 3D design in more than one of these areas is desirable. The 3D Designer will under broad direction, complete portions of assignments through the application of basic design theories, techniques, and practices. The 3D Designer shall have basic knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices for the control, development, and application of deliverables. Supports adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Supports the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates. Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful. Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence. Supports checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings. Knows the discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success. Implements innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence. May support management of project change and progressing for the discipline and works with the Project Management Team to take corrective actions regarding any issues.ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for performing easy to moderate design assignments involving some independent judgment to determine a course of action consistent with established functional and organization’s policies and goals.
- Typically has 3+ years of relevant discipline experience in piping design. Has an intermediate understanding of regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices (essential).
- Experience working in a petrochemical industry such as environmental, operations, maintenance, fabrication, or construction (desirable).
- An intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams. Can navigate intranet pages, conduct searches, and retrieve information. Can organize information from many sources and retain as per the prescribed format and policies.
- Builds appropriate, constructive, and effective business relationships throughout the organization; uses diplomacy and tact; is approachable; communicates clearly, accurately, and consistently both verbally and in written matters. Employs the principles of active listening and encourages feedback from others.

- Representing Worley in liaising with clients and other design team members improvement processes;
- Operates well in a multi-company team environment
- The proven ability to oversee the preparation of design and detail drawings from sketches, plans or other design / specification data
- Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU, etc
- Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the BU, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
QualificationsACADEMIC BACKGROUNDPost-high school training with applicable, recognized Certificate or Diploma – Intermediate LevelLANGUAGESNative Spanish speakerAbility to report in in English, both verbal & in writing.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Experience working with CEPSA. Knowing and managing CEPSA specifications, standards and design criteria is mandatory. Relevant experiencie at CEPSA sites is desirable with proven capabilities to collect data at site and implement on the 3D design.
- Awarded a technical diploma in SP3D is desirable with proved experience in 2 large industrial projects in the design area of piping (other areas are a plus)
- Has a good background in Plant Design (experience in Refineries/Petrochemical sectors is desirable)?
- Enough knowledge to understand engineering documentation from any discipline.
- Experience in brown fields & asset services type project / contracts.
