This role is for an individual with experience in a Big 4 company and/or international fast-paced environment and scalable projects. Ready to control 11 entities across 8 countries for which the administration is done centrally? All this with at least 2 days a week at our HQ in Amsterdam (other days are flexible!)? This opportunity is open for 32 – 40 hours a week.Do you recognize yourself in this?Our Financial Controller is essential to the group finance team and reports directly to the Group Financial controller. You will play a key role in the monthly and year-end closing. You will work directly alongside the (jr.) finance manager to maintain integrity of our financial administration and help coach the finance employees in accounting and control matters. Furthermore, you will work on building and implementing our control framework, in close cooperation with the rest of our business. Next to that, you will have a role during the implementation of new systems like Basware, Stripe and SAP S/4HANA alongside providing key information (risks and opportunities) relating to day-to-day business transactions of the operations.Do you have strong accounting skills? Then this might be something for you! 🚲 🚀What will you be doing?Work alongside the finance manager for monthly close and reporting of entities including the review of VAT returns and review of journal entries, assuring accurate accounting.Perform cash to revenue analysis and ensure accurate revenue recognition by reviewing Revenue postings on a monthly basis.Perform a monthly review of the payroll administration and contract ledgers.Assist in the provisioning for broken bikes and onerous contracts for bikes that are reported missing.Responsible for implementing and maintaining the control framework and developing ways of working, increases efficiency, safety and sustainability and ensures business alignment.Will liaise with the business and the Sustainability manager in the Adoption of CSRD.Responsible for the local audits in collaboration with the finance manager and liaising with local specialists (Tax / Juridical).Assist in the preparation of the consolidated audit files for the group auditor.Communicate with internal and external stakeholders (Gazelle, VWPFS) on invoices related to bike deliveries, ensure accurate accounting and perform asset sales through our ERP;Be the main point of contact for transfer pricing document and prepare transfer pricing documents on yearly basis;Prepare accounting memo’s and identify / analyze Dutch GAAP changes;Coach the Finance employees in correct accounting and controlling procedures.Have a thorough understanding of Swapfiets service/subscription business model, major markets, organization and management structure, regulatory environmentsYour profile:Our ideal candidate will be somebody with 3-5 years of accounting / financial experience and completed your BA/BSc in Accountancy or (Business) Economics.
