Main Purpose of the roleThe Process Technologist, reporting to the Sr. Category Manager, is responsible to drive globally new product development and improvement projects with special focus on the process implication, ensuring the effective design, implementation and continuous improvement of production processes, promoting standardization and providing technological expertise. Also scout and develop new Technological solution when to exceed lines performance. Aim is to contribute to higher quality level and/or efficiency of the existing production processes and assist in new lines start-up, with effect on the growth of the global PVM (Perfetti Van Melle) product portfolio.What you will do
- Participate in new product and process development, in compliance with Group & Local strategies during the whole Stage & Gate process from lab till post launch;
- Contributing to design new manufacturing line or upgrade/improve the existing in close cooperation with Sr. Category manager, Group Engineering and PEC (Process Excellence Center), starting with process flow chart drafting;
- Understand characteristics and influence/interaction of the ingredients used in the specific candies to ensure stable product quality and efficiency of production processes;
- Coordinate pilot trials at innovation center for NPD, improvements and implementation of new technologies;
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal discussions with stakeholders;
- Contribute to define technical solutions aimed to sustain the breakthrough innovation pipeline in accordance with company long term strategy.
Our Perfect Candidate
- Degree in Food Technology, Chemical Technology, Food Engineering or other scientific education;
- 5 years of experience in FMCG as Technologist or similar technologist function;
- Technological expertise in confectionary area;
- Expertise of raw materials and its functions;
- Expertise in recipes formulation;
- Expertise of food manufacturing processes;
- Preferable knowledge in Lean manufacturing (green belt/ black belt);
- Good project management;
- Ability to work with different cultures;
- Availability to travel abroad.
