- At least 7-year scientific experience in basic research in the field of pharmacology and/or toxicology (supported by appropriate scientific publications);
- Possession of many-year experience in research work with various species of laboratory animals in the area of pharmacological and toxicological studies;
- Documented participation in research projects in Poland and abroad, including as a principal investigator;
- Experience in education of new scientific staff (supervision of dissertations for doctor’s degree, supervision of performance of research projects, publication of collective study results);
- Experience in commercialization of scientific research (supported by patents and patent applications);
- Documented cooperation with scientific centres in Poland and abroad, including participation in international internships;
- Documented scientific achievements in the area specified in the Form;
- Fluent use of at least one language in common use during conferences;
- Fluent knowledge of Polish;
- Full use of public rights.
Specific RequirementsList of required documents: * CV and completed questionnaire which is the Annex No. 2 to this Form;
- Certified copies of appropriate documents as a true copy confirming education possessed, including diplomas: diploma of higher education, academic degree of doctor, academic degree of habilitated doctor and the title of professor;
- Certificate of good conduct, with respect to criminal, disciplinary and occupational proceedings;
- Statement concerning full use of public rights;
- Statement – possibly documented – confirming experience in team management on an academic level (certificate of employment, etc.);
- List of publications with consideration of data necessary to verify the publication;
- Summary documenting cooperation with research centres in Poland and abroad;
- Statement concerning knowledge of foreign language/languages;
- Statement concerning agreement to be employed at the Institute as the primary place of work, and being classified into the minimum academic staff complement of the IMW for the period of employment at the Institute;
- Consent to the processing of personal data together with an information clause.

- Date of job interview: 4 December 2024 12.00
- Date of settling the competition: 6 December 2024
- Competition proceedings will be held in Polish.
- The Competition Committee has the right to verify documents submitted by applicants, including compliance of statements with the facts.
- Applicants who have successfully passed the formal assessment of the submitted documents will be invited to attend the interview.
- Invitation for the interview will be sent electronically (to the e-mail address indicated in CV by the applicant) by the Chairman of the Competition Committee.
- The final decision on employment at the position of professor will be made by the Director of the Institute after consultation with the Scientific Council of the Witold Chodźko Institute of Rural Health.
- Contract of employment will be signed with the selected applicant after verification of the data submitted by the applicant in the POL-on system and indication of the Institute as the primary place of work.
- Full-time employment contract will be signed with the selected applicant from 2 January 2025.
- Place of work will be the Witold Chodźko Institute of Rural Health in Lublin.
- Documents should be submitted by 2 December 2024 to the secretariat of the Institute or sent to the address: Witold Chodźko Institute of Rural Health, Jaczewskiego 2, 20-090 Lublin (the date of posting will be accepted as the last date for application) with a note appended on the envelope ‘Competition for position of Professor’.
