Offer DescriptionThe BETA Technological Center is made up of a young multidisciplinary team of more than 100 researchers, and is willing to incorporate a dynamic person, with leadership capacity and eager to be part of this project.The aim is to incorporate a senior researcher with expertise in environmental technologies and motivated to continue developing their professional career in this young research centre.The selected person will work actively in the Environmental Technologies and Circular Bioeconomy Unit and is expected to be involved in several competitive projects of this unit, mainly in the line of solid waste valorisation, especially focused on biological fermentation processes.Main tasks

• Technical coordination of projects of the Environmental Technologies and Circular Bioeconomy Unit, focused on the production of high-added value bioproducts using agro-industrial waste as substrates.
• Design and optimization of biotechnological processes for solid waste valorisation.
• Review, analysis and processing of results and preparation of technical reports and scientific articles.
• Supervision of other researchers and technicians of the unit
• Participation in the preparation of new proposals for attracting new funding

• PhD in the field of Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences or similar.
• Degree or bachelor’s degree in the field of Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences or similar

• Accreditation of the level of Catalan proficiency (Level C1) or being able to obtain it
• Accreditation of B2 level of English or being able to obtain it
• Postdoctoral experience of at least 3 years in the field of environmental technologies
• Availability to travel

• Experience in design, operation and optimization of bioreactors and/or other processes.
• Previous participation in European projects, especially H2020 or Horizon Europe
• European Driver’s License
