We explore new technologies and invest in infrastructure to accommodate hydrogen, biomethane, CO2 and other molecules for a climate neutral future.For our Strategic & Prospective Studies department at our office in Brussels (near the train station and subway, ) we’re looking for a Business & Media Monitoring Analyst (m/f/x).The Strategic & Prospective Studies Department is responsible for gathering, analysing, and distributing information on developments in the energy market, with a focus on monitoring Fluxys’ positioning in the energy transition. Additionally, it is tasked with drafting our strategy for Fluxys shareholders and coordinating the strategic and prospective studies published by Fluxys.Job
purpose
- Fluxys is contributing to a better society by shaping a bright energy future. This involves developing the infrastructure required for low-carbon energy carriers such as green hydrogen and biogas, while also enhancing energy supply security in Belgium and the countries where we operate
- These simultaneous challenges raise questions that citizens, industry, and regulators are trying to address. Change is a constant factor, with new projects, regulations, and geopolitical developments. Fluxys must stay updated on market trends and developments to refine its strategic direction
- The Business & Media Monitoring Analysts are ‘ the ‘eyes and ears’ of Fluxys, responsible for informing our colleagues about these developments and extracting essential information from them.

responsibilities
- Collect and analyse business, political, and economic information disseminated by Belgian and international media, both generalist and specialist, to compile our daily and weekly press reviews
- Draft insights on the latest developments in energy transition and create company profiles
- Manage and organise a document database and contribute to improving the tool and automating tasks where possible (via Artificial Intelligence)
- Train our employees in the use and configuration of the document database
About
you
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably with a literary orientation (information science and technology, communication, etc.) or related to the energy sector
- A preference for topics related to energy transition and a strong intellectual curiosity. (Covered topics are highly varied: from understanding environmental NGO arguments on carbon capture to monitoring Belgian elections, and European regulations on green hydrogen
- Strong synthesis skills and excellent writing abilities
- Proficiency in Dutch and French, as well as English
