Offer DescriptionFaculty of Electrical and Control Engineering is looking for a assistent professor – researcher (post-doc) to carry out the tasks of the research project entitled: “High-power density dual-purpose isolated converters”.TASKS/ROLE
The main goal of this work is to develop the family of isolated bidirectional power electronic converters with ability to operate in dc and ac microgrids with significantly improved power density. The candidate’s tasks will include the following :
- research and development of the coreless dc-dc isolated stage by means of mathematical analysis, simulation and physical models
- research and development of the dual-purpose isolated ac/dc-dc power electronics interface based on coreless dc-dc isolated stage by means of mathematical analysis, simulation and physical models
- research and development of the dual-purpose ac/dc-dc power electronics interface based on capacitive isolation by means of mathematical analysis, simulation and physical models
- research and development of the proper control approach taking into account high switching frequency and relatively low sampling frequency
- Pareto analysis (power density versus efficiency) of the proposed solutions

- Ph.D. degree in the filed of Electrical Engineering
- practical experience in the design of electronic systems
- experience with programming of microcontrollers for power electronics application
- experience with electronic circuits modeling in (Matlab, PSIM or PSCAD)
- experience with mixed signals PCB design (preferably using Altium Designer)
- very good knowledge of English
