Summary Who May Apply? US Citizens currently residing within the commuting area of CHIEVRES Air Base, Belgium (not ordinarily resident in Belgium). US resident alien family members of US sponsors who are citizens of NATO countries other than Belgium. Non-US Nationals must have resided in the US or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. This position is located at the USAG Benelux, DFMWR, Chievres Army Lodge, Chievres AB, Belgium. Responsibilities Performs routine clerical supply work to ensure the effective operation of an ongoing supply activity following established procedures. Serves as linen and uniform keeper. Oversees stock maintenance at or within prescribed levels. Safeguards stock to prevent loss. Maintains par stocks, accounts for items issued for guest use, cull stocks for mending and/or disposal of worn items. Conducts counts or inventories of supplies. Maintains records and makes requisitions, receipts, and disposals. Contacts supply and service organizations to obtain material status information, perform follow-up on urgently required items and/or to expedite delivery. Maintains an accurate accounting and reporting system. Operates computer to perform searches, input data, and correct data entries. May be required to perform duties as Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualified applicants will possess all of the following: Prior work experience as a housekeeper. A basic knowledge of supply and its rules and procedures. Knowledge of computer systems and personal computer or terminal to perform automated functions associated with the duties of the supply activity. Pay-Ban Allowances and Differentials Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government’s interest. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Foreign Overseas Allowances Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) will not be paid for this position.
