An exciting opportunity has arisen for the new position of Head of Data & Analytics. This role will support the Associate Director of Data & Analytics in overseeing the Analytics and Data Platforms team within Digital Services.We are seeking an experienced leader to support the delivery of our Digital Strategy and join the Extended Leadership Team within Digital Services.The post holder requires strong analytical and statistical skills and will lead the Analytics and Data teams across the Trust, developing a services that support the information needs of the organisation with a proactive approach.The Analytics and Data Platform functions are made up of the following teams:

  • Insights
  • Visualisation
  • Data Science
  • Data & Development
  • Data Engineering
  • Solutions Engineering

We’re excited to recruit to this role and recommend informal conversation before applications.You will have access to the Accelerated Leader Development programme and flexible working.Main duties of the jobThe Head of Data & Analytics is responsible for the provision of a customer-focused Analytics and Data Service to the organisation.The NCA have created 5 key aspirations for data which this role will support in delivering:

  • Direct Patient Care and Clinical Workflow: We will provide clinical staff with high-quality, integrated data to aid decision-making during patient care.
  • Population Health and Insight: Understanding our community’s health needs will guide our decision-making to improve the health of our population, while identifying and addressing inequalities and unwarranted variation.
  • Management and Executive Information: We will deliver consistent and precise data for our leadership to help them lead our organisation effectively.
  • Statutory Duties and Performance: Meeting regulatory requirements with accurate, timely data will benefit both our organisation and the wider NHS.
  • Research, Innovation, and Improvement: Data will drive research and innovation, leading to better healthcare solutions for our patients and service users.

The role will also ensure alignment of the Trust’s data strategy with the operational delivery of Data and Analytics, ensuring a ‘Cloud First’ approach to data warehousing, the rationalisation of data products and ensuring a standardised analytics services that provides a consistent and comprehensive analytics service across the Trust.About usThe Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester.   • Ability to engage and influence and persuade a broad range of individuals and professional groups at all levels of seniority
