As part of our strategy, we aim to maximise our investment and use of SharePoint by ensuring that our employees have access to and training in the very best tools and services the platform has to offer.As a SharePoint Engineer, you will be part of our highly skilled, cross-disciplined, and diverse Platform Engineering team which supports the charity’s product development whilst establishing an agile, secure, and smooth-running digital workplace across 4,000+ end-users. The purpose of your role will be to be the subject matter expert managing the day-to-day operation of our SharePoint infrastructure. This will include preparing and planning for new or revised services; maintaining regulatory, legal, and professional standards; monitoring services and business performance, and championing best practices and technical skills across the organisation. Furthermore, you will gain the opportunity to broaden your technical skills by supporting the team on Power Platform & App projects whilst supporting each other and cross-skilling where possible.If you are an experienced Engineer who has delivered SharePoint Online Administration from top-to-bottom (including Intranets and Microsoft 365 technologies such as Teams and OneDrive) with strong end-user management skills, we would love for you to join our mission.What will I be doing?Managing the day-to-day operation of Cancer Research UK’s SharePoint infrastructure to meet the needs of the business (this includes Intranet and Microsoft 365 technologies such as Teams and OneDrive).Administering, supporting, and configuring the charity’s SharePoint Online environment.Preparing and planning for new or revised SharePoint services.Monitoring SharePoint systems ensuring critical services continue to operate at expected levels and are appropriately scaled to meet demand.Championing and strengthening SharePoint IT best practices and knowledge across the organisation by creating and maintaining a culture of sharing and developing new technical skills.
