Then we might have the right position for you. Apply now and join a growing and fast-moving team!
The position
As Senior Portfolio Management Lead in this newly established role, you will be responsible for further developing our portfolio management framework and processes, which helps prioritise capacity use across our product portfolio, including both developing and commercialised products.
The portfolio prioritisation is reported to senior management and used to discuss and decide how to use the production capacity, so you will play a crucial role in ensuring transparency and ability to compare across the projects.
Your key responsibilities include:
-Driving and further developing our project portfolio, creating a clear link to our strategy and therapy area ambitions
-Ensuring that the portfolio sets direction for how to prioritise production capacity across developing and Life Cycle Management projects
-Managing change related to transforming our way of working with portfolio management
-Engaging with various stakeholders, ensuring buy-in, commitment, and training the organisation to facilitate successful implementation of new initiatives
-Drive complex portfolio assessments addressing portfolio opportunities and challenges
Your role also involves developing and implementing portfolio management principles and processes that ensure the foundation of our portfolio, including streamlined reporting, scenario building, risk management, and dependencies between the portfolio projects.
You will also collaborate with other portfolio management offices across the Novo Nordisk organisation.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we believe you:
-Hold a master’s degree within a relevant field such as science, engineering, manufacturing, or business
-Have +5 years of experience working with portfolio management frameworks, processes, and tools
-Demonstrate hands-on experience in implementing and driving portfolio management in large, complex organisations
-Possess strong presentation and communication skills, able to structure material and tailor communication to different stakeholders including senior management
-Display proficiency in both spoken and written English
Experience with portfolio management in the life science or pharmaceutical sector, along with strong industry business acumen, would be a significant advantage.
On a personal level, you excel at navigating complex organisations, building strong internal networks through trust and delivering high-quality work. You have the ability to drive initiatives independently, and set clear direction, while your communication skills enable you to build bridges and secure stakeholder commitment. You thrive on fostering collaboration across departments, embracing a positive attitude, and inspiring others to work together toward shared goals.
About the department
