Job descriptionAre you passionate about education and making a difference in the lives of students with additional needs?Prospero Teaching are currently working with a fantastic school based in Chandler’s Ford that is seeking full-time Special Needs Teaching Assistants to work 1:1 and in small groups with SEN pupils. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping them reach their full potential. You will encourage positive social interactions, assist students in building effective relationships with their peers, and support the development of their communication skills.This role is due to start as soon as possible for the right individual.Role Overview:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Special Needs Teaching Assistant
- Provide 1:1 support and work with small groups of SEN pupils
- Assist the class teacher by ensuring pupils are engaged and motivated during lessons
- Help create an encouraging and positive learning environment
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience working with or supporting children with special needs (essential)
- A patient and nurturing approach to working with pupils with additional needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- A passion for helping students thrive and succeed in their learning journey
- A positive, outgoing and resilient attitude
