  • Documented scientific publications in the field of linguistics, including corpus linguistics.
  • Documented experience:
  • in teaching university courses and/or lectures on the descriptive grammar of Polish, pragmatics, academic writing, contemporary methodology of linguistics.
  • in teaching courses and/or workshops on website design and management, transcription of texts, and elements of programming for philologist.
  • Documented professional experience related to computer science.
  • Experience in popularizing knowledge about the contemporary Polish language (language counselling).
  • The applicant’s scientific interests must be documented in the following ways: (i) publications and academic courses on the topics related to the requirements; (ii) participation in scientific conferences; (iii) work experience in scientific associations, groups, editorial boards, and research projects; (iv) various forms of popularizing science.
  • Documented academic experience in the following areas: (i) development of language corpora; (ii) electronic lexicography; (iii) creating and operating tools for processing language data (spoken language, written language and multimodal communication); (iv) acquiring and processing language data; (v) website designe and management; (vi) manual transcription of spoken texts.
  • In view of the scientific profile of the Department of Corpus Linguistics; the following requirements must be satisfied: (i) documented knowledge of pragmatics and genology of Internet texts; (ii) documented experience in academic text editing; (iii) experience in website administration.

The responsibilities of the successful candidate will includeIn the area of research:

  • Conducting scientific research in accordance with the research profile of the Department of Corpus Linguistics;
  • Activity in designated research groups, editorial offices, projects, and workshops;
  • Publishing scientific works.

In the area of teaching:

  • Teaching academic courses in the scope of 240 hours per academic year;
  • Teaching and conducting courses, lectures and course seminars (morphology, research tools in linguistics), and specialist courses on the application of corpus methods.

In the area of administrative work:

  • Performing tasks and activities related to the implementation and organization of the teaching process in the Department of Corpus Linguistics, in particular participation in the organization of exams and acting as a tutor of student groups;
  • Organization of conferences, workshops, and training sessions;
  • Website administration;
  • Popularization of linguistic research and the achievements of the Department of Corpus Linguistics.
