Salary – Scale 6 – £32, # – £34, #

About the Role
Your role will be to install, maintain and repair Airwave and Communication devices to support the operational requirements of the force.
Responsibilities will be and not limited to:
1. The management, programming and repair of all operational communication equipment (Handheld and Vehicle), including Airwave, Covert, Inca, Mobile Phone and other devices.
2. Regular external communication with service providers and suppliers regarding equipment management & Airwave service provision.
3. Regular internal communication with OCU’s/Departments.
4. To assist with development of the communication systems and their use within the force.
5. Monitor, assess and investigate coverage related issues.
6. Advise User Support staff regarding technology updates/developments.
7. To give regular and effective service.

Essential Qualifications
Educated to QCF Level
3 (2-3 passes) OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.
Essential Experience
To have work experience in a radio telecommunications role, including experience of fitting and repairing a range of radio equipment.
