The National Sales Manager will lead the Strategic Growth Markets (Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa), based in the Czech Republic. This Hybrid role is not tightly linked to a physical location within the country and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work.

In this capacity, you will report directly to the EMEA Head of Sales and work closely with stakeholders across Europe and globally.   

Objectives
The role has overall responsibility for Harley-Davidson’s sales performance in the local markets. The individual leads the execution of the market plan and oversees all sales activities in partnership with sub-regional resources. The National Sales Manager will directly lead the team of Field Sales Managers in the management of the dealer network and the delivery of the associated retail key performance indicators.  This position will liaise with marketing and dealer development teams to drive relevant positioning and messaging in the market as well as to manage dealer performance, development and prospecting.
 

Job responsibilities

-Accountable for achieving local level objectives including: sales volumes, revenue, market development, dealer development, service levels, dealer and customer satisfaction.
-Manages the local Dealer network and driving the network strategy to achieve dealer development objectives and the dealer growth targets.
-Provides management of the sales teams and leads employee development and engagement activities.
-Acts as the statutory representative officer in Market/Country where appropriate.
-Integrates with EMEA Marketing, Operations and Dealer Development peers.
-Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and standardisation including achieving year on year improvements in people and selling, general and administration.
-Leverages EMEA sales and operations planning for demand trends, supply strategies and inventory management
-Reporting of results every month vs targets for sales of motorcycles, P&A and general merchandise both on an individual dealer level and for the full market.
 

Expertise 

Required

-Demonstrated leadership in automotive or lifestyle industry – dealing with country level teams and field sales representatives
-Demonstrated prowess in navigating relationships with national Dealer networks 
-Strong knowledge of retail and multi-channel approach to reach new consumers in an evolving retail marketplace
-Ability to translate shared EMEA vision and strategy into actionable plans and results to deliver aligned key performance indicators
-Proven ability to lead; to motivate and inspire field sales teams to do more than they ever thought possible on their own
-Excellent communication skills in Czech and English
-Bachelor’s Degree preferred
-Typically requires a minimum of 12 years related experience. Minimum of 5 years of management experience leading sales teams.
-Frequent travel required.
Preferred

-Thorough understanding of automotive and motorcycle distribution in local markets.
-Other in region languages would be an advantage.
