Offer DescriptionGrant/funding reference: UDC NAVANTIA JOINT RESEARCH CENTRE (CODE IN853C2022/01)Job title: THE SHIPYARD OF THE FUTUREResearch line / Scientific-technical services: TRACEABILITY.This contract is convened under the project Centro Mixto de Investigación “The shipyard of the future” (hereinafter CEMI) in which the University of A Coruña and the company Navantia participate. The purpose of this contract is the collaboration in the research activities carried out within CEMI.TASKS TO BE PERFORMED AND THE SUBJECT OF THE CONTRACTThe main tasks of the hired person will be supporting and collaborating, being related to the area of ICT technologies in the field of identification and traceability in the shipbuilding sector:(1) Development of an intelligent palletizing system that allows us to offer advanced traceability, monitoring and automation functionality.(2) Analysis, design and implementation of prototypes with identification technologies and marking techniques/symbols for the General Warehouse and Block Factory.(3) Integration with pilots developed with Navantia’s information systems (e.g., private cloud-connected ecosystem, digital twin).(4) Field tests at the shipyard, validation tests and system performance.

  • DURATION OF THE CONTRACT

The contract will be indefinite, in accordance with applicable law. Likewise, previous experience and specific training (courses, seminars, etc.) in the following will be positively evaluated:

  • Traceability systems for critical environments.
  • Traceability systems based on the Internet of Things.
  • Development of systems based on Distributed Ledger Technologies for critical environments. The merits alleged by the participants must be documented and fulfilled by the end of the deadline for submission of applications. Only merits related to the profile of the position will be assessed. The position will be vacant if no candidate reaches a minimum of 40 points according to the following scale, and only people who exceed this minimum will be on the waiting list. Specifically, the following scale will be applied:
  • Qualifications required. The average grade of the degree required to apply for the place is evaluated, up to 5 points:
  • Average grade of the academic record: 10 —- 5 points
  • Average grade of the academic record: 9 —- 4 points
  • Average grade of the academic record: 8 —- 3 points
  • Average grade of the academic record: 7 —- 2 points
  • Average grade of the academic record: 6 —- 1 point If the provided qualification belongs to the field of Computer Science, it will be assessed entirely. If it belongs to any other field, it will be valued with 5% of the grade obtained according to its average grade.
  • Additional specific training related to the specific profile to which it is presented, up to 40 points.
  • Master’s degrees and courses related to Cybersecurity: 1 point for every 50 hours, up to 30 points.
  • Master’s Degree Final Project related to the profile of the position, up to 10 points:

Master’s Degree Thesis grade: 10 —- 5 pointsMaster’s Degree Thesis grade: 9 —- 4 pointsMaster’s Degree Thesis grade: 8 —- 3 pointsMaster’s Degree Thesis grade: 7 —- 2 pointsMaster’s Degree Thesis grade: 6 —- 1 point

  • Specific experience (e.g., previous positions, R+D projects, etc.) related to the specific profile defined in the call: 20 points.
  • Previous experience in Joint Research Units made up of companies and research organisations: 1 point per month worked up to a maximum of 5 points.
  • Experience in previous positions related to the matters of the contract: 1 point per worked month, up to 5 points.
  • Previous experience in the development of R+D projects in the field of the contract: 1 point per worked month, up to 10 points.
  • Experience in scientific publications and research production related to the object of the contract up to 10 points.
  • Only articles related to the subject matter of the position that have a significant number of citations in the ICT field according to the WoS, Scopus or Google Scholar (e.g., in the ICT field, that have more than 50 citations in the metioned sources) will be assessed. The weighting of publications for these high-impact articles will depend on their JCR quartile: 5 points for Q1 article, 4 for Q2, 3 for Q3 and 2 for Q4.
  • Personal interview: the suitability of the curriculum vitae for the job will be assessed. Up to 25 points.

The candidates with the highest score in the previous items who obtain at least 20 points (only the first three candidates) will be interviewed. Failure to attend to the interview is cause for exclusion of the candidate. Candidates will be summoned for the interview at least 48 hours in advance.When the assessment of the applicants, in accordance with the above criteria, means that two or more applicants obtain the same score, the tie will be broken by the seniority of the merits provided. For such a purpose, the merits provided by the applicants will be ordered in chronological order, giving priority to the oldest merits. Firstly, and solely for the purposes of this tie-breaker, one point will be assigned to each of the merits provided by each candidate.
