GA Nº: 101135094Job title: “Zoonoses Emergence across Degraded and Restored Forest Ecosystems (ZOE)”Research line / Scientific-technical services: Social development, sustainability and healthThe ZOE project, which stands for ·Zoonoses Emergence across Degraded and Restored Forest Ecosystems·, studies how ecosystem degradation, biodiversity loss and certain human behaviours can facilitate the emergence and spread of zoonotic diseases. The project is composed of an interdisciplinary consortium with expertise in geography, geobotany, ecology, virology, immunology, epidemiology, sociology, psychology, anthropology and scientific outreach from seven EU countries and four Latin American countries.The MAIN TASKS of the research support technician will include:– Support the research team in developing methodological guidelines for data collection in the project case studies– Support the research team in communication and training of the partners responsible for the case studies in data collection through focus groups in the communities involved.– Support the partners responsible for the case studies in data collection on the human factors that affect this relationship in the regions under study– Preparation of the necessary documentation for the ethical permits of the study.– Support for the tasks of data analysis of focus groups and preparation of scientific reports in which the UDC is involved– Represent the team in Project meetings when necessaryCONTRACT DURATION:The contract is indefinite. Through research contracts that certify the completion of work related to the required experience (0.5 points per year of contract); or authorship of indexed publications that certify the completion of work related to the required experience (0.5 points per publication), or the completion of a master’s or doctoral thesis on the required subject (1 point) (up to 3 points).– Demonstrable experience in qualitative data analysis techniques through specific courses on qualitative data analysis of at least 3 credits (0.25 points per course); research contracts that accredit the completion of work related to the required experience (0.5 points per year of contract); or authorship of indexed publications that accredit the completion of work related to the required experience (0.5 points per publication) (up to 3 points).– Previous experience of participation in national, European or international projects obtained in competitive calls, demonstrable through research contracts or collaboration grants (0.25 per year and per project in the case of grants, 1 point per year per project in the case of research contracts, up to a maximum of 3 points).– Previous research experience in Latin American contexts, especially with culturally diverse populations, demonstrable through publications (0.5 points per publication), completion of bachelor’s theses (0.5 points) or research contracts (0.5 points per year of contract) (up to 2 points).– Previous experience of participation as a speaker or member of the organization in international conferences (0.25 points per presentation per conference, 0.50 points per conference, for being a member of the Organizing Committee, up to a maximum of 1 point)– Additional training in topics related to the project. The following criteria will be used to score points: participation in courses or conferences (0.25 points per conference) up to a maximum of 1 point.Block 4: Publications Publications in international JCR indexed journals, relevant to the project theme. Each original article will be valued as follows: 0.25 points/publication, up to 1 point, applying a multiplying coefficient of 0.5 to 2 for the relationship with the area and the order of authors.Block 5: Personal interview, in case of a tie (max. 3 points)The selected candidate will have to achieve a minimum score of 6 points.
