Offer DescriptionResearcher to carry out scientific and technical activities into new AI methodologies of interest for music distribution. In particular around music monitoring, and music recommendations, in the frame of the Chair AI and Music (Cátedra IA y Música).Train and support doctoral students who develop their doctoral thesis in Music and AI within the framework of the Chair (PT1-A1; PT5-A14)Carry out research that allows the development of new AI methodologies based on deep learning that allow assistance in the different processes involved in music distribution.Specifically the researcher will work on: (1) music monitoring, and (2) music recommendation. (PT2-A5; PT6-A18)Develop software that implements the results of basic research. Extend the Essentia software library, with more audio processing algorithms and more deep learning models that are useful for both music creation, production, distribution, and training (PT3-A7; PT7-A20)Improving existing datasets and creating new ones useful for deep learning models (PT3-A8; PT7-A21)Promote technology transfer based on open innovation processes (PT4-A13; PT8-A26)Where to apply WebsiteRequirementsResearch Field Engineering Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsRequirements that candidates must meetGENERALa) Be in possession of the Doctor’s degree.b) Not having been separated by means of a disciplinary file from the service of any of the public administrations, nor having been disqualified by a final judgment for the performance of public functions.   • Doctorate in engineering, computer science or related fields
  • Regulated studies with specialization in music technology
  • Research experience in the fields of music information retrieval and machine learning
  • Experience in software design, development and testing
  • Experience in managing large data collections
  • Experience in technology transfer activities in relation to companies in the music distribution sector
  • Fluent English and Spanish
