This role will lead a team of HR professionals (including Payroll), ensuring we deliver an exceptional experience to our pilots and mechanics, so they can, in turn, deliver an outstanding experience to our customers. Reporting to the Maersk Air Cargo CEO, and in dotted line to the Global HR Director for Asset Management, this role will be based in Copenhagen and will help shape the future of our Aviation People OrganisationWe offerAs Aviation People Manager, you will partner with leaders within the Aviation Operation organization based in Denmark, the Netherlands, and the UK, securing people services and recruitment strategies that drive business goals. Our operations are currently located in Denmark, Germany, and the UK, each with its unique needs and characteristics.The Maersk Air Cargo Organization is on a journey to become an integrated and extended part of A.P. Moller – Maersk.   • Business Partnership: Partner with business leaders to ensure a good balance of challenge and support, delivering robust people plans and the best employee experience at our sites and for our pilots.
  • Team Development: Coach and develop your team to ensure consistently high-quality delivery for Maersk Air Cargo.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Build a flexible, adaptable team that can be effectively deployed to support future fleet expansions, new hub implementations, and operational expansions.
  • Employee Engagement: Create an environment where employees are highly engaged, proud of their work, and have a strong sense of purpose.
  • Employee Relations: Ensure a strong, positive employee and labour relations climate working directly with the Unions and WCO representatives.
  • Lifecycle Management: Own the delivery of all employee lifecycle processes, ensuring outcomes are delivered for frontline employees in a customer-focused way.
  • Best Practices: Ensure best practice sharing within the Europe Region and with global peers to continuously improve delivery effectiveness and employee experience.
  • Brand and Values: Exemplify the Maersk brand and values.

  • HR Expertise: Senior-level HR generalist with strong Danish based experience and desired international experience in aviation or manufacturing roles, with a solid understanding of HR fundamentals.
  • Leadership: Natural leader passionate about driving team engagement to create a high-performing team.
  • Business Partnership: Strong business partner, challenging and supporting senior leaders to deliver business results.
  • People Interaction: Experienced in dealing directly with senior leaders and HR leaders in a matrix organization.
  • Change Management: Proven experience in leading change, managing transformations, and organization building.
  • Employee Relations: Experienced in leading employee and labour relations, working with Work Councils, Unions, and within CLA’s.
  • Proactive Drive: Ability to proactively drive the people agenda, navigating a complex stakeholder matrix.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to operate in a fast-paced, developing project environment, taking ownership and setting direction with minimal guidance.
  • Resilience: Resilient in the face of change, accepting uncertainty, and bouncing back from setbacks while maintaining enthusiasm.
  • Self-Driven: Energetic, self-driven, and possessing a ‘can-do’ mindset.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Danish and English.
