Information Security Engineer

Summary of the Role

Information Security Engineer executes security operations within the Front Office suite, focusing on incident management, system hardening, and operational security, as well as ensuring the integrity of IT systems and applications while maintaining technology to monitor and detect threats against the Amadeus global infrastructure.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Be responsible for the Incident Response mechanism of the Security Operations Center team.
  • Manage all security incidents on a day-to-day basis, operating in a follow-the-sun mode.
  • Conduct incident analysis, response, and remediation.
  • Classify and prioritize security incidents.
  • Manage vulnerabilities according to company processes and follow up on mitigation plans.
  • Serve as the key technical interface to internal and external customers.
  • Ensure system security needs are established and maintained for operations.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor internal team members.
  • Be an active member of the Blue Team, performing Incident Response duties.
  • Work cross-organization to integrate and operate all monitoring and logging tools.
  • Participate in the evaluation of new technologies (hardware and software) in respect to the Security Operations Center.

About the Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in information security or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of security operations, incident management, and system hardening.
  • Familiarity with security monitoring and threat detection technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Business Environment

The Travel Distribution Engineering group is responsible for developing and maintaining a wide range of products. These products span various domains, including Air Distribution, Front Office, Leisure Package Distribution, Agency Business Operations, and Rail Construction, across multiple locations.

Our team also leads the NDC[X] R&D program, focusing on innovation and excellence in engineering. We drive key initiatives in Security, Architecture, Maintenance, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and managing Technology Debt. Additionally, we are committed to Capacity Management and Operational Excellence, working closely with Product Management to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards.
