  • Teach and support students with moderate learning difficulties, delivering tailored lessons to meet their individual needs.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring that students’ learning goals are specific, measurable, and achievable.
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and other staff members to provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to ensure continuous development.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes student engagement, confidence, and independence.
  • Work closely with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching students with moderate learning difficulties.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions, particularly for moderate learning difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A patient, compassionate, and adaptive approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • A DBS check is required.
