With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Operational people service delivery to all Arcadians, providing local expertise, advice, proactive solutions, and quality support through appropriate people frameworks, policies, and procedures.Reports directly to the People Services Manager or Director.Role accountabilities:Act as a trusted advisor & member of the People Services TeamAs a member of the Local People Service team, you will establish trusted relationships with employees & line managers and provide front-line advisory support on people initiatives, programs, or challenges. You will also collaborate with the business partner community and broader people services teams to support the total employee experience within a geographic area.
The role will be responsible for managing a team of 2 People Services Advisors and working closely with the People Services Director to support an inclusive high-performing organization, in line with the strategic people and culture direction.In more detail, the Team Lead People Advisory will:
- Coach, support and build capability within the People Advisor team to ensure a harmonised and streamlined way of working and a balanced workload.
- Coordinating People Services operational tasks associated with Global Mobility, Wellbeing, Performance Management, People engagement, etc.
- Proactively ensure compliance with Arcadis Policy and relevant Employment Legislation. Providing accurate and timely advice to the business.
- Lead the development and maintenance of People Policies and processes.
- Responsible for case allocation and managing requests through the HR Help Desk (HR Case Management/ Service Request System), ensuring that progress is tracked within the Service Request to ensure seamless, well-documented case management and ensuring appropriate resolutions are provided to employees and line managers.
- Referring/escalating requests to Business Partners or Global Centres of Excellence, as appropriate.
- Proactively drives Your Voice engagement, ensuring focus from Line Managers and supporting action implementation
- Facilitation of onboarding and offboarding processes
- Assisting with the cyclical and operational People needs of the business e.g., recruitment, and promotions, with full responsibility for operational aspects of People Services and supporting People Business Partners in operational aspects of People Services.
- Responsible for identifying improvements needed in People processes to drive positive employee experience e.g. Support changes in new system/ways of working initiatives, Support regional-specific initiatives
- Liaison with internal service providers and stakeholders e.g., Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and Global People Shared Services to ensure seamless operational delivery to the business
General
- Responsible for delivering proactive, timely, and high-quality service
- The role holder will be expected to work across different Global Business Areas, where required
- Work collaboratively within the People Operating model to support the wider business
- Play a key role in the local People Services network and take an active role on group-wide People projects as needed

Key Shared Accountabilities:
- Provide advisory services in support of strategic People programs (e.g. Talent Management, Performance & Reward, and Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging), incorporating our cultural pillars (Sustainability, Inclusion, Accountability, and Human – centricity).
- Establish trusted relationships with the employees & line managers.
- Provide front-line advisory on people initiatives and programs with a strategic people or business impact.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to co-create, develop, and support people solutions
Qualifications & Experience:The candidate should have an academic degree (preferably in human resources) and a minimum of 10 years of progressive (human resources) experience. They should have broad experience and understand the complexity of leading people issues. Further, the candidate should have experience with diverse and complex matrix businesses and familiarity working within a People Shared Services & Centers of Excellence model
- Strong employee relations experience gained in high volume, transactional environments with disciplinary, grievance, performance management, and sickness absence management cases.
- Evidence of dealing with complex cases and influencing managers in decisions to mitigate risk to the business.
- Extensive knowledge of Belgian employment legislation and regulation.
- Uses information, insights, sound judgment, and knowledge in a structured way to identify options, make recommendations, and make robust, commercial decisions.
- Acts with integrity, impartiality, and independence, balancing personal, organizational, and legal parameters value.
- The ability to handle sensitive issues and to build relationships at all levels in the business with diplomacy.
- Demonstrable understanding of how people issues impact the business and how HR can create value for the business.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Ability to translate highly complex employment law information to non-technical audiences.
- Good working knowledge of English, Dutch, and French
- Ability to provide both verbal and written information clearly, succinctly, and persuasively, as well as the ability to influence others
- Strong organization skills, as well as strong attention to detail, an ability to multitask and see work through to full implementation
- Ability to use research methods effectively, including data collection, diagnostic, and analytical skills
- Fluent Dutch, French and English language skills are required
