This role will support the academic leadership team and contribute to the excellence of program delivery and student-centred outcomes.Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Gastronomy & Culinary Arts Management, Food Product Design & Development, Food & Beverage Management, Sustainable Food Systems, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Teaching experience at the college level, preferably in English.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential; working knowledge of French is advantageous.
- Familiarity with current trends and practices in food and beverage industry and hospitality management.
- Experience with learning management systems and digital learning applications
ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning Support:
- Assist in developing and updating curriculum and lesson plans.
- Support the delivery of engaging lectures using updated technologies and teaching methodologies.
- Help prepare and update module syllabi.
- Contribute to the creation of assessment materials.
Student Guidance and Support:
- Provide individual and group mentoring to students.
- Assist in academic coaching and support activities.
- Help supervise student projects and assignments.
Program Coordination:
- Supports the academic administrative coordinator for program delivery logistics.
- Support the Academic Lecturer in program oversight and coordination.
- Assist in implementing best academic practices for assessment.
- Contribute to the enhancement of the student learning experience.
Administrative Tasks:
- Serves as liaison with LMS platform manage for regular updating and deployment of new modalities.
- Serves as liaison with registrar and academic administrative coordinator for accurate records of student attendance and performance.
- Assist in preparing reports and documentation as required.
- Support the organization of academic events and activities.
Professional Development:
- Engage in ongoing professional development activities.
- Keep up to date with emerging trends in the field.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
