Duties:
- Ensure that financial support is available to help students overcome the specific financial barriers they face to enable them to remain in education
- To work in liaison with other student support staff to ensure that students have appropriate financial guidance to achieve the best outcomes
- To administer Trips and Visits ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are adhered to and in line with college systems
Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge and understanding of Further Education bursary funding
- Proven organisational and administrative/IT skills
- Experience of finance and adhering to financial procedures
- Ability to recognise potential problems and to formulate solutions
Qualifications:
- Five GCSE grade 4 / C (including English & Maths).
- Previous experience in Student Finance
- Relevant experience in an administrative role
Ideal Attributes:
- Good communicator, able to communicate on a variety of different levels and adapt approach to suit the needs of students and stakeholders
- Be confident working independently and organising own work priorities to fit department and wider business need
- Self-motivated, proactive and professional
- Customer/ student focussed with good level of emotional care and control
