Job title:

Process Excellence Lead for HR transformation

Company:

Hempel

Job description

Are you passionate about the potentials of process optimization and process excellence in People & Culture? Are you excited about building global processes and seeking opportunities for digitalization and automation? Do you have the necessary drive to manage your own projects and lead the change?Hempel is on a journey to become an industry leading enterprise, where a key step in People & Culture is to review and enhance our processes and optimize them for global scale and capacity. Purpose of our team “P&C Analytics, Processes & Technology” is to enable a seamless employee experience, where processes, technology and data align to enable Hempel’s growth journey. In other words: we are on a highly important mission! We are looking for You as a new member in our process excellence team, who can – together with a colleague in a similar role – own and drive the process maturity journey while establishing and maintaining process excellence principles as the foundation for a scalable People & Culture function. As Process Excellence Lead, you will have dual responsibilities: on the one hand acting as CoE expert on our process excellence framework, having a holistic and visionary perspective on the right approach for Hempel, on the other hand managing key optimization projects that align with our transformation roadmap. The role requires you to have a good blend of process excellence expertise, great interpersonal and project management skills, and a tireless passion for improving employee experience! Some of the tasks you will be entrusted with

  • Develop, maintain and anchor the framework around process excellence in People & Culture to enable transparency, process improvements, digitalization and automation where relevant
  • Oversee and analyze process maturity in P&C and build close relation to process owners and support them in progressing their process optimization journeys.
  • Engage and bring others onboard the process excellence journey.
  • Build a P&C onboarding & training program for new colleagues related to process excellence.
  • Establish a systematic approach for process audits and performance measurement together with process owners, HRIS and People Analytics
  • Drive selected projects from project planning to implementation and adaptation hereof.
  • Lead and facilitate project meetings and workshops, such as process design sessions.

Behavioral competencies most relevant in order for you to flourish

  • Design thinking – Focusing on pain points in the employee experience and gathering feedback to refine improvement ideas will take you far! In our optimization efforts, we aim to address user needs by designing processes that are not only smooth and compliant but also resonate with our colleagues and drive engagement. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement within P&C, where dedication to identifying inefficiencies and solving issues at their root cause is essential.
  • Collaboration and communication – Designing solutions together is how we drive process optimizations and therefore wanting to collaborate should be part of how you like to work. You will listen to stakeholders’ needs, provide sparring and communicate clearly verbally and in writing, as well as influence without authority at all organizational levels. Excellent collaboration with process owners, HRIS team and People Analytics is the foundation for your success!
  • Maturity to take decisions – We will need to strike a balance of when to find a consensus agreement within P&C, and when to take a decision and move on. What we cannot have is stalled optimization due to a fear of taking decisions. The ideal candidate feels capable of making challenging shots, scope deliverables and move on.

What we expect you to have in your backpack as background and experience

  • Long or medium long education in relevant discipline
  • 5+ years of HR process consultant experience or similar, solid knowledge of the HR function and its processes
  • Experience in leading and anchoring global transformation initiatives, preferably in HR and/or in a process environment
  • Project management skills – organized, detail oriented and execution focused.
  • Experience with Workday and HR case management solutions is a plus
  • Experience with integration of new businesses (acquisitions) into existing processes and technology is a plus
