This is a dynamic, fast-developing organization and a fantastic opportunity to play a major part in its future.HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGERThis role will manage the HR team for the Netherlands office (Amsterdam) and the German operations too. The role will be based in Amsterdam but there will be occasional travel to the German sites too.Some of the key responsibilities include the following:

  • You will be responsible for developing, executing and controlling the local HR policy in collaboration with Global HR and local management teams.
  • You will be heavily involved in operational, tactical and strategic advisory work.
  • You will partner closely with BU leaders to understand the business drivers and challenges.
  • You will develop and lead the deployment of HR programs as well as influencing the design of HR initiatives to benefit the business.
  • You will provide coaching and expertise to managers and supervisors.
  • You will work closely and collaboratively with the Works Councils (Germany).
  • You will manage a small team of HR staff in Amsterdam and Germany (3 FTE).
  • And so much more.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate who can respond positively to most of the following:

  • Degree level education and/or accreditations in HRM subjects and topics.
  • A minimum of 7 years HR experience ideally within the oil/gas/chemical/energy sector.
  • HR team management experience – minimum 3 years.
  • Experience within a matrixed international organization – USHQ would be a big advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch and, ideally, German legislation and social security issues.
  • Experience with Works Council or Unionized environments.
  • Excellent level of English, Dutch and, ideally, German.
  • Experience with Workday and ADP would be a big advantage.
  • Strong influencing skills but with a friendly, open communication style. Lead by example and have fun at the same time.
