We provide healthcare products and services, group disability, life and accident insurance and international insurance – directly to individuals and through employers and intermediaries.Cigna’s mission is to help our customers improve their health, well-being and sense of security.Your jobAs an Intake Care Representative, you will be a member of the Clinical team and work closely together with the Pre-Authorization team helping our clients with the processing of the Guarantee of Payments towards the hospitals.Main ResponsibilitiesYou are responsible for the timely sending of all Guarantees of Payments together with your colleagues. The Guarantee of Payment is a confirmation towards the hospital regarding length of admission, treatment and insured amount. To be able to provide this confirmation, you will:

  • Analyze requests for hospitalization and evaluate treatments, the amount and the length of stay depending on the policy.
  • Frequent contacts with medical providers and individual insured, mainly by phone, to obtain all necessary information.
  • Review and monitor the case and make sure to cascade the files to the teams of Case Coordination and Case Managers, depending on specific triggers.
  • Be the point of contact for hospitals regarding all their questions related to the Guarantee of Payment.
  • Save all necessary information regarding the hospitalizations in an internal database. All our clients and medical providers are internationally located. Therefore, you perform these tasks in English and French or German.

Your profileExperience

  • 1 year of experience in a customer service or claims environment.
  • Advanced level of English and Spanish. Additional languages are a plus (German, Portuguese, French or Italian).
