Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.Senior Privacy CounselWe are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Senior Privacy Counsel to join our Data Privacy team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will enable Adyen to thrive within the financial sector and create unique business opportunities while making ethical choices. To do this, you must have strong analytical and communication skills as well as pragmatic and strategic thinking while advising internal and external stakeholders on privacy matters.What you will do:
- Together with the team, strengthen Adyen’s global data privacy compliance framework.
- Provide strategic privacy advice on a wide range of matters within the business, including contracts, HR, marketing and product development.
- Anticipate and identify data protection obligations and risks, and ensure that these are addressed in a practical and scalable way.
- Keep track of new legislative proposals and other legal and compliance developments regarding privacy across the globe.
Who you are:
- You have 7+ years of data privacy experience (including GDPR).
- You are a team player who likes to collaborate and include different people to sharpen your ideas.
- You are a generalist with experience in commercial negotiations, strengthening compliance frameworks, vendor assessments, incident management, data transfers, data protection impact assessments and privacy by design.
- You have experience educating others on complex ideas, communicating them clearly, and providing training when necessary.
- You have the ability to structure and prioritize in a high volume, fast-paced environment and build and drive processes to completion.
- You are available to work from our Amsterdam office and travel to other offices periodically.
- You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
