If so, we would welcome your application for the role of Clerical Assistant based on our Canterbury Campus.The University of Kent is looking for a Clerical Assistant to join a busy team assisting in the day-to-day administration in the local delivery teams, and providing efficient clerical support to the operations Team and the Head of Operations.As a Clerical Assistant you can expect to:

  • Provide efficient and confidential clerical support to facilitate the smooth running of business as usual
  • Assist in the effective day to day administration in the local delivery teams
  • Regularly review content on school websites to ensure accuracy
  • Organise room bookings for meetings and catering orders where appropriate
  • Greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring they receive an excellent customer service

What we are looking for:

  • GCSEs in English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above), or equivalent
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to deal with a range of colleagues at all levels
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A commitment to excellent customer service and to the promotion of equality, diversity and inclusivity in your work
