Job Description:A 2-years postdoctoral position in polymer synthesis and characterization is available at the Department of Chemistry. The candidate will work closely together with the PI and a PhD student on a project with the objective of studying ion-pairing phenomena in aqueous polyelectrolyte systems.Responsibilities and qualifications
The main responsibilities will be synthesis of monomers and polyelectrolytes with well-defined molecular weight and molecular composition. Beside this, molecular characterization and initial studies of molecular functionality will be part of the tasks.
- Candidates should have (or being close to achieving) a PhD degree in Polymer Chemistry or a similar topic.
- A strong curiosity for structures and functionalities of polyelectrolytes.
- Experience with relevant characterization methods such as NMR, GPC etc.
- A strong collaborative mind-set.
- A desire to interact with chemistry students at different levels.
- Independence and good communication skills.
In the assessment of the candidates, consideration will be given to:
- Relevance of background experience.
- Passion for research and scientific discoveries.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and good communication skills.
As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).We offer

The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
