We are building an open and inclusive corporate culture based on trust, teamwork, transformational leadership and a sense of initiative.Together, we put these values into practice every day to further strengthen the trust of our two million policyholders.Mission & responsibilities:As IT Technology Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and reviewing the work of the development teams, and act as a bridge between teams such as Security, Architecture and Release Management/DevOps.
You’ll offer advise for the technical direction of the Technology Roadmap and expertise in relevant technologies.More concretely, your tasks will be:
- Propose improvements in the existing applications within DKV Belgium so as to reduce their Total Cost of Ownership
- Advise teams in technical & project delivery roadmap decisions
- Contribute to and Validate Low Level Design and specification of requests for IT development
- Troubleshoot and identify systems and application problems
- Determine Standard Guidelines and way of working for the development teams
- Implement proof of concepts outlined by the technical roadmap, guidelines and industry best practices
- Manage the IT Change Advisory Board community
- Identify risks and form contingency plans as soon as possible
- Conduct security audits to identify areas of improvements
- Advise and support in the development and implementation of the Technology Roadmap
- Analyze and advise on bugs in applications
- Analyze root causes of frequent problems and propose fundamental solutions or workarounds
- (Help to) implement and develop approved improvements
- Maintain technical documentation
Requirements:
- You obtained a bachelor or masters degree within an IT-related field, or similar by experience, and have +10 years professional experience within different companies and IT landscapes
- You are fluent in English and at least one of the two national languages (Dutch or French)
- You have a broad technical knowledge, with especially a strong technical background within Java (preferably Spring) and an expertise in building API’s and Domain Driven Design/Event Driven Architecture solutions, knowledge within React is certainly an advantage
- You have strong communication skills, you know how to adapt your communication in function of your stakeholder
- You are a real teamplayer, you can establish collaboration within teams and actively listens and engages with your stakeholders proposals and concerns
- You keep a structured and pragmatic working approach
