Payment Processing Specialist
Location: Hoofddorp Netherlands.
Work Mode: Hybrid
Position Summary:
The Payment Processing Specialist within the Treasury Department plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of global payroll and vendor payments in various currencies and countries. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of international payment regulations and procedures. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain financial accuracy, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the treasury operations.
Your Day-to-Day:
-Global Payment Processing:
-Process payroll disbursements for employees located across different countries, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, currency conversion, and timing.
-Handle vendor payment requests, verifying invoices, purchase orders, and contract terms before processing payments.
-Execute payments using various payment methods, including electronic funds transfers (EFT), wire transfers, and other applicable platforms.
-Uploading bank statements from the various bank programs into SAP.
-Contact point towards the banks for cash management, reporting e.t.c
-Assisting with the opening of bank accounts and maintenance and compliance in various countries.
-Assisting with maintaining and optimizing Bentley’s corporate banking and cash management programs.
-Compliance and Regulations:
-Stay updated with international payment regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) guidelines, and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
-Ensure all payments adhere to local and international financial regulations and internal company policies.
-Documentation and Reporting:
-Managing the companies inter-company positions and ensuring that all subsidiaries have sufficient cash to meet their obligations.
-Maintain detailed and accurate records of payment transactions, approvals, and related documents.
-Generate regular reports summarizing payment activities, processing timelines, and any discrepancies for management review.
-Central bank reporting
-Cross-Functional Collaboration:
-Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to gather payroll data and verify accuracy before processing payments.
-Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and external financial institutions to resolve payment-related inquiries and issues.
-Process Improvement:
-Identify opportunities to streamline payment processes, enhance efficiency, and implement automation solutions where feasible.
-Participate in testing and implementing new payment systems or software upgrades.
What You Bring to The Team:
-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work/training experience is required -Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Treasury Professional) are a plus.
-3-5 years of proven experience in payment processing, treasury operations, or a related financial role.
-Strong understanding of global payment systems, banking protocols, and international payment regulations.
-Proficiency in working with financial software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
-Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
-Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
-High level of integrity and ethics in handling sensitive financial information.
