- hold a PhD degree in natural sciences or engineering and technology, obtained at an institution other than Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. The PhD must have been obtained not earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project. This period may be extended by the time spent on long-term (more than 90 days) documented sickness benefits or rehabilitation benefits due to inability to work. In addition, the period can be extended by the number of months of leave related to child care and upbringing granted in accordance with the Labour Code. For women, the period can be further extended by 18 months for each child born or adopted, if this method of indicating breaks in a scientific career is more beneficial.

Selection processTHE APPLICATION FOR THE COMPETITION SHOULD INCLUDE:
- application addressed to the Rector of MCSU,
- a copy or certified copy of the doctoral diploma, or a resolution on awarding a doctoral degree, or another document confirming the award of a doctoral degree,
- personal questionnaire and curriculum vitae or CV,
- a list of scientific publications,
- a list of scientific and organizational achievements,
- candidate’s statement that MCSU will be the primary place of employment in the event of employment,
- a letter of recommendation or an opinion from a person holding the academic title of professor or the academic degree of habilitated doctor regarding the candidate’s scientific achievements,
- declaration by the candidate consenting to the processing of personal data in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons regarding the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).
Additional commentsTERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- employment under a research grant on the basis of a fixed-term, full-time employment contract from 1st December 2024 to 30th September 2026, in the primary place of employment,
- during the period of receiving remuneration under the established employment relationship, it is not permissible to receive any additional remuneration from any employer under an employment contract, including employers based outside the territory of the Republic of Poland,
- during the period of employment at MCSU as part of a research project, no other remuneration may be received from funds allocated as direct costs in research projects funded through National Science Centre calls for proposals.
