Location: Nelson (BB9)
Salary: Dependent on experience with SEN allowance
Contract Type: Temporary – PermanentJoin an OFSTED ‘Good’ rated primary school dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to children with special educational needs. - Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs in both individual and group settings.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support teachers in creating and adapting learning materials to suit the needs of SEN students.
- Assist with the physical, emotional, and social needs of students, promoting independence and self-esteem.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective strategies for student success.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for supporting and inspiring children with SEN.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
