The school supports students aged 6-19 and is a residential special school for children with physical disabilities and complex medical needs. Children attending the school will usually have a physical disability and may have associated medical, learning, or sensory needs. The hours for this role would be 8:30 – 4:30 and duties would include supporting learning in the classroom, supporting personal care needs feeding and break duties.The school has an outstanding reputation in the local community and provides an excellent academic environment for young people who have a range of additional needs including Autism, SLD, and PMLD. The school are hoping to employ Teaching assistants to start ASAP. School have stated the start date can be flexible for the right applicant.The ideal Care assistant for this Teaching assistant position will have training such as moving and handling, administering medication, first aid.
