You will report to the Senior Director, Head of Event Adjudication and be responsible for the management, performance, and development of +10 employees in one of the two Event Adjudication departments. Your role will be to motivate and support employees through sparring on decision making and ongoing prioritization.You will play an active and important role in setting direction for the team and contributing to cross department initiatives, alignment, and projects. You are willing to share and collaborate, and you take pride in supporting your colleagues in achieving joint targets.Working in a global organization, you are expected to show a high degree of initiative in seeking interaction with colleagues internally as well as externally to secure collaboration and alignment across the organization.The team in Søborg works closely with the Event Adjudication team in Bangalore (India) and you are expected to support the continued successful collaboration across the two hubs.The position is based in Søborg, Denmark.QualificationsTo thrive and succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
- Master’s degree in health, natural sciences or relevant field
- People management experience OR project leadership, informal leadership experience with strong aspiration for stepping into a people manager role
- Solid understanding of drug development and the value chain in the pharmaceutical industry including experience from working with clinical trials
- Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry with experience from various departments and working with CROs
- Fluency in written and spoken English
You are strongly focused on ensuring ongoing dialogue with employees to drive performance, engagement, and development-both of individuals and the team.You possess strong coaching skills, enabling you to effectively lead and develop professionals and specialists. Additionally, you approach challenges with a positive and pragmatic mindset, always seeking practical solutions while maintaining an optimistic outlook.About the departmentThe Event Adjudication area consists of 35 highly engaged professionals, specialists, and people managers from various academic backgrounds. We work in a fast-paced environment on an increasing number of trials in the late-stage clinical development. We establish, execute and project lead procedures for setting up, conducting, and closing event adjudication activities in clinical trials.Event adjudication is a process where an independent review board of medical specialists assesses relevant events for fulfilment of pre-defined clinical criteria, with the purpose of generating high quality data for our clinical trials. The process is driven by the Event Adjudication area in close collaboration with internal stakeholders across the value chain as well as external clinical research organizations (CROs).The Event Adjudication area is part of Safety Operations (+100 team members), which is one of the functional areas in Global Safety (+600 team members).We have an informal office culture where humor and good relations are valued, as we believe it promotes collaboration, conversation, and teamwork, which is essential for us to succeed in our work.Working at Novo NordiskAt Novo Nordisk, we don’t wait for change.
