Une offre de stage intitulée « Stage 2025 en Identification des modèles de performance avion à partir de données opérationnelles (all gender) » vient de s’ouvrir au sein d’Airbus Opérations sur son site de Toulouse Saint Martin.

Vous rejoindrez le département « Flight Dynamics and Performance – Performance In Operation » en charge de développer et d’intégrer différents modèles couvrant à la fois la physique (aérodynamique, propulsion, inertie…) et les systèmes avions, afin de produire des plateformes de dynamique de vol et de performance qui prédisent ou reproduisent avec précision le comportement des avions.
 

Votre stage consistera à travailler sur la précision des modèles de performances avion pour améliorer l’efficacité des vols, le design et les opérations.

Idéalement, ce stage d’une durée de 6 mois commencera en Janvier 2025 (la période est communiquée à titre indicatif, et pourra être revue).
 

Tâches et responsabilités :
Votre tuteur/tutrice vous aidera à identifier vos objectifs professionnels et vous accompagnera dans le développement de vos compétences. Vos principales activités seront les suivantes: 

• Modéliser et évaluer les performances opérationnelles avion

• Analyser et simuler la mission de l’avion en prenant en compte son environnement

• Effectuer des analyses de données en service, comprendre et identifier les opportunités d’amélioration du design ou des opérations

Ce stage vous permettra notamment de développer les compétences suivantes : 

• Connaissances en performances des aéronefs et/ou en physique du vol

• Connaissances en systèmes aéronautiques

• Expérience dans l’analyse de grands ensembles de données

Votre carte d’embarquement :
Vous préparez actuellement un diplôme de niveau Bac +5 (ou équivalent) dans le domaine de l’aéronautique.  Vous possédez les compétences suivantes : 

• Bonnes compétences en visualisation de données, capacité à présenter les résultats clairement

• Expérience Python (numpy/ scipy/ pandas), Linux, git

• Connaissances de base en machine learning  (par exemple : scikit-learn )

Soft skills :

• Compétences en communication

• Créativité et appétences pour la résolution de problèmes

Compétences linguistiques attendues : 

• Anglais    : avancé

• Français  : avancé

We offer an internship: « Internship 2025 – Identification of aircraft performance models using operational data (ALL GENDER) : » at Airbus Operations in site  Toulouse Saint Martin. 

You will join the « In flight performance and operations department » in charge of developing and integrating various models covering both physics (aerodynamic, propulsion, inertia…) and systems, in order to produce flight dynamic and performance platforms that accurately predict or reproduce aircraft behaviour.. 

Your internship will consist in: improving accuracy of A/C performance model identification to support development of technical and operational solutions, including services, improving flight efficiency.
 

Ideally, this is a 6 months internship and it should start in January 2025(date subject to flexibility).
 

Main tasks and activities :

Your tutor will support you identify your professional objectives and develop your skills. You will contribute to the following: 

• Through bibliographic research, to get knowledgeable on the latest projections of climate change evolution. 

• to build a realistic weather model, reflecting the climate change impact on the environment.

• To implement this new weather model into an internal Airbus tool to simulate global airline operations.

• To perform trajectory simulations and analysis under both theoretical and operational conditions.

• To quantify the impact of climate change over the airline operations based on performance criteria.

This internship will allow you to develop the following skills: 

• Knowledge of aircraft performance and/or flight physics

• Knowledge of aeronautical systems

• Experience in analysing large data sets

Your Boarding Pass : 

You are preparing a diploma level Bac+5 in (or equivalent) in engineering, the competences you will need to succeed in this job are: 

• Good level of understanding of Flight Physics

• Knowledgeable in coding for data analysis and processing (Python)

• Good skill in data analytics

• Good interest in Research & Technology

Soft skills :

• Communication

• Creativity and problem-solving

Language skills : 

• French  : intermediate 

• English  : advanced
