  • Active participation in scientific conferences of an international character and/or in scientific internships held at foreign universities;
  • Experience in editing scientific texts in the field of musicology;
  • Presentation of a plan for further scientific activities that the candidate would like to pursue at the Institute of Musicology, University of Warsaw;
  • Experience in teaching in the field of musicology, primarily in the field of general music history;
  • Interest in digital humanities and willingness to develop in this direction;
  • Knowledge of the Polish language to a degree that allows teaching and two foreign languages (including English), at an advanced level.

The scientific discipline in which the academic teacher is to conduct research:art sciences in the field of musicology.Specific RequirementsPrimary responsibilities: * In the research area:

  • conducting scholarly research on general music history up to 1900;
  • submission for publication within 18 months of employment of two articles/chapters in publications/journals accepted in the evaluation process of scholarly activity in the discipline of art sciences;
  • participation in project deployment activities and/or digital humanities projects in musicology to be carried out at the UW Institute of Musicology;
  • submitting an application for funding of a research project to an institution awarding public funding through a competition (does not apply to persons heading analogous projects, the duration of which covers more than half of the period of employment).

2. In the teaching area: conducting academic teaching at the applicable dimension of teaching hours (210 hours per year), in particular in the field of issues related to the general history of music up to 1900;3. In the organizational area:

  • willingness to assume administrative functions related to the activities of the Institute of Musicology, as determined in consultation with the management of Institute of Musicology, University of Warsaw;
  • willingness to participate in routine work of an administrative and organizational nature necessary for the smooth operation of the Institute of Musicology, University of Warsaw.
