Senior Director, Global Supply Chain Finance COE

Primary responsibility of this position is to be a key business partner to the commercial and sales teams, by leading the finance team and facilitating actionable insights / analytics and sound decision making that results in the achievement of the financial objectives of the business. Responsibilities include active involvement and leadership within the sales and marketing processes to support commercial execution, financial planning, annual budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, product and customer profitability analysis, customer pricing, monthly and quarterly financial analysis, gross to net, broker spending, and controls. This position is the main business partner for the Alternate Channel and Customer Brands portfolios and provides sales finance support for the multi-cultural sales team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

-Leads, manages and supports the production of regional reporting and strategic planning including accountability for the production of analysis and insight to support the Regional FP&A team, Supply Chain Finance team and Commercial Finance team including portfolio investment analysis and strategic analysis support. Works with the SC Finance Director to ensure delivery of regional performance targets.   
-Oversees the accurate consolidation of regional plans, budgets and forecasts within the agreed timeline through ownership of the SCF annual calendar. Leads, manages and supports the preparation of procurement, factory, freight and distribution plans, budgets and forecasts consistent with Corporate Guidelines. Leads, manages and supports the production of value added insights into the operating results of the business and make suggestions on how to overcome gaps and make improvements. Oversees the first level of financial analysis on actual results of the region as part of the financial close process.  
-Leads, manages and supports the preparation of management reporting and analysis providing meaningful and fact based insights to support local and Regional finance teams. Leads and Manages the development of fact based insight, analysis and reporting to support finance business partners including pricing and promotion analysis, scenario modelling, brand/ category portfolio analysis, business cases and CCI.
-Provides oversight and guidance on the development of product costing for new and existing products including support of regional pricing. Leads, manages and supports the development of bottom up insights on cost management, driving cost efficiency across the region.
-Oversight and accountability for reviewing, tracking and reporting of Capex spending (159 Schedule), Inventory and Accounts Payable management: month end closing, monthly accruals and fixed asset management.
-Partners with Supply Chain and Business to develop and review business cases for new investments and oversees the preparation of presentations and briefing packs to support CAAP approval.
-Oversees Global Supply Chain Central Charges Management including month end closing, Forecast, LTP and Budget.
-Leads, manages and supports the talent and capability within the Centre of excellence group to include accountability for the team’s talent management processes and employee development.
 

Required Qualifications

-BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
-MBA preferred
-CPA preferred
-Minimum 10 years of experience in senior level Finance Planning and Analysis
-Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and basic proficiency of Power Pt & Word required
-SAP/BW/Tm1 experience desirable Proven experience to be able to articulate difficult ideas and concepts through concise verbal and/or written communication
-Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of financial and analytical techniques
-Proven ability to be a strategic and critical thinker, with a deep understanding of business principles and practices
-Proven ability to effectively interface with various levels of management and influence decision making
-Must be able to establish personal credibility with Senior stakeholders to ensure they impact on decision making
-Proven experience in being able to influence solutions at senior finance leadership level and be able to say no and enforce governance models
-Proven ability discretion and prioritize competing agendas
-Proven experience in managing, developing and motivating others to achieve results
-Highly developed analytical skills and understanding of the Supply Chain business and the markets in which McCormick operates
-Demonstrated ability to communicate with and influence senior stakeholders cross functionally
-Proven experience in being able to build and sustain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
-Proven ability to prioritize workload around activities with the most impact
-Strong technical Finance understanding and business acumen
-Proven ability to interpret data, order and assess its value and present the findings to the relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise way
-Proven ability to solve complex problems quickly and with limited facts
-Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and manage teams.
