Citi is looking for Summer Internship Analysts to join the Investment Banking team in Madrid in June 2025. The Investment Banking group advises corporate clients who want to raise funds in capital markets and who need strategic support in financial transactions. Initiatives you may be working on with clients include mergers; acquisitions; divestitures; financial restructurings; underwriting; and distributing equity; debt; and derivative securities. If none of these terms make sense right now, that’s ok! Our internship is designed to help you increase your knowledge, so whatever your degree is in we will give you the training and support you need to excel.We’re committed to teaching you the ropes. The ten week Summer Internship Analyst program starts in June 2025.ResponsibilitiesCollect and analyze company information to assist transactions, including conducting industry research, revising and organizing financial dataAnalyze financial data and develop financial models including company valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, financing and comparative analysesCreate and finalize new business development presentationsCoordinate tasks with internal and external working teamsPrepare required internal documentation e.g. control and compliance regulationsQualificationsYou are in your penultimate/final year of universityExpected to achieve or have achieved a 2:1 (or equivalent) at undergraduate level in a degree disciplineGrade 7 above (If graduated from Spanish University)Interest in businessStrong academicsYou are fluent in English and SpanishAdditional RequirementsDesire to develop a deep understanding of the financial industryIntellectual curiosity and proactive approach to searching for new and creative ideasStrong communication, planning, and organizational skillsCommitment to personal growth and career development including mobility and flexibility.You also have a strong desire to learn, are proactive, building rapport and relationships in team environmentsUnquestioned commitment to integrity and ethical decision-makingWe will recruit on a rolling basis and therefore encourage you to apply as soon as possible.This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
