- You are a qualified and motivated candidate to conduct research within the project “T-anchor” funded by the IOF UGent, as a full-time postdoctoral researcher.
- Interact with companies and verify the value proposition, as well as verify specific market aspects, such as the technology adaptation to produce the T-anchor concept, and the relation between cost and added-value.
- Plan and execute experimental campaigns to investigate the characteristics of adhesive connections between different construction materials.
- Develop novel solutions that improve the short-term and long-term performance of adhesive connections between construction materials.
- Design, plan and execute tests on real world demonstrator structures relying on adhesive connections between members.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You hold a thesis-based doctorate in civil engineering.
- You have experience in planning experimental campaigns and managing research projects.
- You have a strong affinity and broad knowledge on adhesive bonding between materials such as FRP, glass and concrete.
- You have hands-on experience in planning and executing bond tests.
- You have experience with digital image correlation and strain gauge based data acquisition.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
- We offer you a contract of indefinite duration, associated to the granted IOF T-anchor project budget.
- Your contract will start on 15/10/2024 at the earliest.
- Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate).
