Education and qualifications:Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Grade in Biosciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Biochemist, etc.)
- PhD related to Biosciences (Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Molecular or Cellular Biology, Genetics, etc.)
- Specific/additional training in bioinformatics
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English (business level)
Desired:
- Specific/Additional training in immune cell culture, autoimmune mouse models
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business level)
Experience and knowledge:Required:
- Ability to independently develop your own research.
- At least 6 years of postdoctoral experience working in autoimmune inflammatory diseases in a top academic centre
- Knowledge of autoimmune diseases and cell biology
- Knowledge of statistics and usage of bioinformatic tools for NGS data (including scRNA-Seq)
- Skills in genomics and transcriptomics (qRT-PCR, RNA-seq) for biomarkers and pathogenesis pathways identification.
- Ability to lead projects
- Communications skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary team.
Desired:
- Knowledge of autoimmune diseases, in special systemic lupus erythematosus
- Ability to obtain funding
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Develop/manage ongoing and new research projects in the Lupus Unit
- Provide support in/to the design, implementation and analysis of experimental studies in the group
- Collaborate with clinicians and bioinformaticians in the efficient design and analysis of the project
- Analyse omic data from immune-mediated inflammatory disease, carry out experimental studies to validate main finding
- Preparation of manuscripts for its publication or memory’s drafts for grants/projects applications
- Keep track of different projects
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: immediate
- Gross annual salary: up to a maximum of 39.656,64 euros (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
