We’re eager to bring on a talented and enthusiastic Design and Technology teacher to join our Lancaster team. You’ll have the chance to engage KS3 and KS4 students, nurturing their creativity and helping them develop essential skills. This role offers a competitive daily rate of GBP155 to GBP230, depending on your experience, qualifications, and teaching approach.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging, hands-on lessons that inspire students to explore design, engineering, and practical technology. You’ll guide students through a range of projects, helping them understand the design process from concept to creation.

Responsibilities:

* Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
* Strong knowledge of the curriculum
* Punctual and reliable
* Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
* Develop approach to self – directed learning, use technology to support learning
* Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
* Set homework and mark promptly
* Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
* Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
* Respond to questioning

* Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
* Strong classroom management
* Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
* Be an inspiring and engaging communicator

Personal attributes:

* You will have a genuine passion for teaching
* Experience up to key stage 3/4
* QTS/PGCE equivalent
* Be flexible and committed
