Histology Technician (Band 5)
Location: St Richards Hospital
Contract Duration: 23rd September 2023 – 31st March 2024
Hours: 09:00 – 17:00

Pay Mechanism: Direct Pay Mechanism
Pay Rates: GBP16 – GBP18 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine histopathology laboratory duties with a focus on:
* Microtomy sectioning (standard, mega, singles, and levels)
* Routine H&E staining using Leica Spectra
* Support other laboratory functions as required
Essential Qualifications:
* Relevant qualifications in Histology or Cellular Pathology
* Experience in histopathology techniques, particularly microtomy and staining
* Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols
Skills and Attributes:
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
* Excellent organizational skills
