Job Description:Division: Group Digital Capabilities (GDC)The Smart Automation Tribe sits within the Group Digital and Capabilities Division and is responsible to deliver efficient, scalable, resilient and high-quality digital Business Operation Processes to the entire Euroclear Organization and its Customers, in a safe and controlled environment through Smart Automation.The Smart Automation Tribe is an Agile organisation of about 100 IT professionals located mainly in Brussels, India and Krakow. The Tribe consists of one Smart Automation Centre of Excellence (CoE), nine delivery squads and an orchestration squad (transversal functions).The mission of the Smart Automation CoE is to guide and enforce harmonized adoption of the Smart Automation capabilities operating model, to define and refine people skills and training needs, processes, technologies/tools, best practise and governance to enable Smart Automation implementation at scale, and to independently ensure organizational alignment with harmonised ways of working across all areas and servicing tribes.The main Smart Automation platform-based capabilities owned and governed by the CoE are Business Workflow Management (Pega), Robotic Process Automation (UIPath), Low Code Productivity tools (Power Platform and O365, Docusign, ABBYY Flexicapture), Virtual Assistant (Druid AI) and Reconciliation (FIS Data Integrity Manager).The CoE is also responsible for the Euroclear Group End User / Citizen Development strategy, governance, and enablement, mainly through Microsoft Power Platform.To support the delivery of Smart Automations, the CoE facilitates related trainings across the Business Units and drives the communication and change management through the organisation.The CoE consists of a team of technology leads that are responsible to:

  • lead the Smart Automation technology transformation at group level covering all dimensions (people/processes/structure/technology).
  • draw upon a deep understanding of the best practices, values, principles and methodology of the technology to influence and guide the evolution of the technology practice.
  • ensure the technology methods and process are followed as per the agreed Operating model of the technology.
  • promote the usage of the technology practices and help delivery squads to maximize value delivery through well understood technology techniques.

The CoE also includes the team that manages and runs the PEGA Platform. Role:

  • Lead the definition and implementation of the Smart Automation capabilities and technology strategy to meet the needs of the business, with a focus on reviewing the Smart Automation Platform strategy, governance and operating model (mainly Pega, RPA and Power Platform), to enable delivery of automations outside of Smart automation Tribe, including by end users (Citizen Development).
  • Translate the strategy into a multi-year investment plan endorsed by Enterprise Architecture and secure the related financing by mobilizing support from stakeholders and management up to Executive level.
  • Ensure achievement of the strategy by sponsoring the related initiatives (mature existing capabilities with a focus on reusable components, purchase of new / replacement of old tools/technologies), monitoring achievements and demonstrating the value of the technologies purchased.
  • Provide guidance and advice on the CoE strategic objectives to stakeholders and management up to executive level.
  • Manage The Smart Automation CoE relationships with multiple programs, capabilities & tribes at Euroclear Group level.
  • Support the Tribe Product Owner with the roll out of the Smart Automation services and technologies with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Be part of the Smart Automation Tribe Leadership team, which is responsible for the execution of the Tribe Strategy, the organisation of Operations and the achievement of the Tribe objectives.
  • Lead the COE teams composed of CoE technology leads and platform/asset managers and experts, responsible for the delivery of stable and scalable Smart Automation platform services, and for the enforcement of the defined technology governance for both IT and Citizen Developers.
  • Lead and develop the CoE by managing the overall maturity and performance of Smart Automation technologies, identifying the need for and incubating new technologies, and ensuring that methods of working with the new technology are understood, implemented and followed at corporate level.
  • Build a maturity measurement system and, together with architecture, perform regular maturity assessment of the teams and technologies. On a quarterly basis make recommendations and sponsor initiatives to improve the efficiency of the delivery of these technologies and monitor achievements.
  • Develop and maintain periodically a set of reference documents covering the strategy, organizational structure, processes, people roles, and technology dashboard for each Smart Automation technology.
  • Ensure a coaching practice, making sure sufficient and coherent coaching is available to support the transformation. Ensure that a comprehensive training portfolio is available, and that people get the right trainings.

Qualifications:

  • You have at least 10 years’ experience in IT related domain, with a strong interest and knowledge of Smart Automation/Hyperautomation technologies, their evolution and how they can support Euroclear business and strategy.
  • You are able to cooperate and interact inside and outside of the Euroclear technology organization, at all levels of the organization, and you can influence and understand dynamics of stakeholders, both as individuals and as group.
  • You have proven leadership to steer people and projects in a changing environment.
  • You are able to work independently, and you show an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • You are able to step back and have a transversal view, with significant judgement to take decisions with long term impact.

  • You have proven experience in Scrum, and/or knowledge of Euroclear Agile framework.
